I have recently watched the Television series Ross Kemp in Afghanistan. I was immediatly taken back by the series, and decided to do some research on the Programme Director. The director is called John Conroy, who was assistant cameraman in Sweeny Todd and the Da Vinci code.
I was particularly impressed with the camera work in the series, considering the surroundings they were in and the constant threat of attack from the Taliban.
The whole series really gave me a different opinion on the British Forces in Afghanistan, and i felt as though this programme really told the story of the British Soldiers, and the difficulty they go through everyday for months on end.
I certainly feel as though this show did what it was meant to do by opening the nations eyes to what these soilders are having to go through, and give them the respect they deserve.
