Second Life

I have finally begun my second life project, after 2 weeks of trying to find a site that actually worked i finally found one using vSide. vSide is based around music and night life.

I created my avatar wearing similar clothes to me, such as a hoody and a cap.

I began exploring different areas of the virtual city, adding several other users to my friends list. I Will keep you updated on any progress!

Fifa Street 3

On recently viewing the latest commercial for the new Fifa street 3 gamehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3eEpqLi-DU I decided to visit the website to take a closer look on the development of it.
To start with I found the site a little confusing as they have based certain aspects of the site on the previous game, Fifa street 2.
They have used the "Gamebreaker" idea in the website which, in Fifa Street 2 you used to have to achieve by doing tricks against your opponent in order to score a goal. They have made 3 players on the website you can use to do this (Ronaldinho, Gattuso and Crouch), and once you have achieved the Gamebreaker, you can then access other parts of the website.
After exploring the site, and viewing videos I have decided against buying the game as the realism from the previous two games seems to have been lost, which was one of the reasons i purchased the game to start with.

Avatar

I am about to start creating my Avatar using 3d Studio Max. I have come to a desicion on the design of my avatar. I am going to base the character on myself, and create him in clothes similar to what i wear on a daily basis. I am going to create a set of turntables infront of my character, with sets of speakers in the surroundings. I will create a rough layout of how I would like my avatar to look in Photoshop and post it on my blog.

Avatar

This is the idea I have created for my avatar. I have used the flags of the different countries I have lived in as each has influenced how I am today. I have also added speakers to the image as music is a big part of my life.
I have added Side the sloth from Ice Age to reprasent myself, as I have been given the nickname of a sloth.
